Important Notice: Please read this Agreement carefully before downloading, installing, registering, logging in, or using Bifrost, especially the clauses related to service limitations, payment rules, user content authorization, AI risks, social and offline activity risks, disclaimers and limitation of liability, account disposal, dispute resolution, and minor protection. If you do not agree to this Agreement, you should immediately stop registering or using this service. |
Chapter 1 Definitions, Scope, and Agreement Composition
1.1 Contracting Parties. This Agreement is jointly entered into by the natural person, legal person, or other organization (hereinafter referred to as "User" or "you") using the Bifrost software and related services and Beijing Yanwan Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "Yanwan Technology" or "we").
1.2 Product Definition. Bifrost is a social and learning community product centered around social interaction, language learning, AI companionship, goal growth, content co-creation, and online-offline connections. Its services may be provided via mobile clients, web terminals, server interfaces, AI interaction systems, operational activities, membership systems, physical or virtual goods, and offline activities.
1.3 Agreement Composition. The main text of this Agreement, "Bifrost Privacy Policy", rules for the protection of children or minors, membership and paid service rules, community guidelines, activity rules, special authorization letters, platform announcements, SDK lists, AI feature descriptions, order page prompts, etc. are inseparable parts of this Agreement and have the same legal effect.
1.4 Version and Regional Applicability. This Agreement primarily applies to service provision and dispute resolution under the laws of mainland China. If you are located outside mainland China, you must still comply with local laws and regulations as well as localized terms published by the platform for that region; if there is a conflict with mandatory local consumer protection, privacy protection, minor protection, or platform governance laws, the mandatory legal requirements shall prevail.
1.5 Acceptance. When you click or check "Agree", "Accept", "Next", or actually use Bifrost by downloading, installing, registering, logging in, browsing, publishing, interacting, purchasing, or participating in activities, it means you have fully read, understood, and agreed to be bound by this Agreement.
Chapter 2 Software License and Use Boundaries
2.1 Limited License. Provided you continuously comply with this Agreement and laws, we grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable software use license to install, access, and use the lawful functions of Bifrost on supported terminal devices.
2.2 License Restrictions. Without our prior written consent, you may not copy, modify, translate, adapt, rent, lend, sell, distribute, mirror, sub-license, publicly display, reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, circumvent technological protection measures, extract source code, scrape data, train competing models, create derivative software, or commercialize in any way.
2.3 Updates and Compatibility. We may provide software updates based on feature iterations, security fixes, compliance needs, or operational arrangements. Some updates may affect backward compatibility; if you refuse to update, you may be unable to continue using some or all services.
2.4 Open Source and Third-Party Components. Bifrost may use open-source software, third-party SDKs, cloud services, maps, push notifications, instant messaging, payments, analytics, or content review capabilities. Such components are subject to their respective license agreements, terms of service, and privacy rules; we will conduct security assessments within reasonable limits but make no guarantees beyond what is legally required for services provided independently by third parties.
Chapter 3 Account Registration, Identity, Age, and Security
3.1 Registration Information. You can register using a phone number, third-party account, or other supported methods. You must ensure the information submitted is true, accurate, complete, lawful, and valid, and update it promptly when it changes. You are responsible for any account anomalies, service restrictions, or legal liabilities caused by untrue or outdated information.
3.2 Account Ownership. The ownership of the Bifrost account belongs to Yanwan Technology. Users obtain limited usage rights upon registration. You may not gift, borrow, rent, transfer, sell, inherit, share, or otherwise dispose of account usage rights unless legally required or with our written consent.
3.3 Real-name Authentication. Based on legal and regulatory requirements, risk control, payment settlement, content publishing, offline activities, or specific service needs, we may require you to provide real identity information, age proof, contact details, professional qualifications, or other necessary materials. Failure to complete necessary verification may result in feature restrictions.
3.4 Age Restrictions. Given that Bifrost involves stranger socialization, cross-border interaction, AI companionship, paid services, and offline activities, core services are generally only open to users over 18 years old with full civil capacity. Minors under 18 may not register or use core features (matching, messaging, offline events, payments, AI companionship) without authorization; if minor modes are provided in accordance with the law, minors must use them with guardian consent and guidance.
3.5 Account Security. You should properly keep your account, password, verification codes, login devices, and security credentials safe. You are responsible for all actions taken under your account. If you discover account theft, abnormal logins, or unauthorized use, notify us immediately through customer service. We are not liable for losses caused by your failure to secure your account.
3.6 Account Recovery. To maintain service quality and resource security, we may remind, restrict, freeze, recover, cancel, or clear data for accounts that are unlogged for long periods, violate laws or this Agreement, or pose fraud or security risks, except for data required to be kept for statutory retention, dispute resolution, or security audits.
Chapter 4 Service Content and Core Function Rules
4.1 Scope of Service. Bifrost services include personal profile display, interest and goal tags, light-ups and reciprocation, 7-day companionship, shared To-do Lists, instant messaging, voice or picture interaction, multi-language translation, AI chat and language practice, content publishing, likes/comments/favorites, discovery page recommendations, memberships, user portfolios, offline activities, gifts or cultural merchandise, customer service, reporting, and other functions we actually provide.
4.2 Feature Availability. Specific functions are subject to product pages, version notes, and actual availability. We may adjust feature names, entrances, rules, quotas, target users, paid models, algorithmic strategies, or display logic based on development progress, business strategies, compliance, or security needs.
4.3 Discovery Page and Content Distribution. The discovery page displays user-published content, official announcements, recommended content, and community interactions. The platform may rank content based on publishing time, engagement, user tags, location, language preference, content quality, security review, official priority, and user-selected sorting methods. We do not guarantee any content will receive fixed exposure, recommendations, or commercial revenue.
4.4 Light-up and Companionship Mechanism. Users can "light up" other users based on profiles, interests, language goals, milestones, or system recommendations. Specific rules regarding light-ups, daily quotas, quick matching, and canceling companionship are subject to the product page. Users must respect others' choices and may not obtain matches through harassment, coercion, threats, manipulation, or automated tools.
4.5 7-Day Companionship and Phased Photo Display. Upon reaching a companionship relationship, users enter a 7-day companionship period. To reduce appearance-driven bias and protect privacy initially, the platform may display avatars or photos in a blurred, semi-transparent, or other privacy-enhanced manner; after 7 days and meeting rules, photos may be clearly shown. Users should understand this logic before uploading photos.
4.6 Shared To-do List. During companionship or goal growth, you can create, edit, share To-do items, goals, reminders, tags, and check-in records. Shared info may be viewed by matches, friends, community members, or designated audiences. Do not input ID numbers, addresses, bank cards, medical records, precise locations, passwords, or trade secrets in To-do items.
4.7 Messaging and Translation. Bifrost provides text, voice, picture, emoji, translation, grammar correction, and pronunciation practice capabilities. Translation and AI correction results may contain errors, omissions, or cultural misinterpretations, and cannot be used as legal, medical, financial, immigration, academic, or other professional decision-making basis.
4.8 AI Chat, Companionship, and Language Practice. AI features are for language learning, dialogue practice, goal reminders, emotional companionship, content assistance, and social experience optimization. AI is not a real person, psychologist, doctor, lawyer, or financial advisor. AI output may be inaccurate; you should judge independently and avoid excessive emotional dependence. For severe psychological crises or safety risks, contact emergency services immediately.
4.9 Official and Operating Accounts. The platform may set up official, customer service, activity, content review, AI, or operating accounts for announcements, feedback, events, testing, and order maintenance. These accounts will be reasonably identified and must not impersonate real users to induce top-ups, offline meetings, or emotional reliance.
4.10 Content Co-creation and User Portfolios. Users can publish literary creations, study notes, life reflections, pictures, videos, and comments. If the platform intends to use user works for commercial publications, offline exhibitions, or other uses beyond necessary display, explicit authorization or special agreements must be obtained regarding authorship, modification, fees, and revenue distribution.
4.11 Offline Activities. The platform or users may initiate offline events like reading shares, hiking, frisbee, or entrepreneurial exchanges. Users should assess physical conditions, safety, and organizer qualifications before joining. The platform acts as an information publisher or organizer as stated on the event page.
4.12 Gifts, Merchandise, and Virtual Items. The platform may provide cultural merch, physical gifts, blind boxes, event vouchers, publishing vouchers, companionship charms, memberships, or other virtual items. Physical goods are subject to consumer protection and logistics rules; digital content, memberships, and virtual items generally do not support no-reason returns once redeemed, used, or issued, unless legally required.
4.13 Future Features. Features like global payments, cross-border services, ads, publishing, finance, or offline ecosystems mentioned in business plans will only be available after the platform launches them, obtains necessary qualifications, and publishes specific agreements. Before that, Bifrost does not provide securities, funds, insurance, lending, wealth management, foreign exchange, or investment advice.
Chapter 5 User Code of Conduct
5.1 Legal Compliance. Users must comply with Chinese laws, local laws, public order, good customs, and community guidelines. Do not use this service for illegal activities, infringing on others' rights, disrupting platform order, or endangering national security.
5.2 Prohibited Content. Users may not produce, publish, spread, or provide content involving: terrorism, extremism, ethnic hatred, cults, rumors, pornography, gambling, violence, self-harm induction, drugs, fraud, illegal trading, piracy, defamation, cyberbullying, doxxing, inappropriate minor content, or other legally prohibited material.
5.3 Prohibited Social Harassment. Users may not harass, stalk, threaten, abuse, sexually suggest, extort, defraud, induce naked chatting, induce transfers, impersonate, emotionally manipulate, PUA, spread others' privacy, record without consent, or induce dangerous offline meetings.
5.4 Prohibited Platform Disruption. Do not use cheats, scripts, bots, scrapers, mass registration, fake engagement, injection, DDoS, bypass risk control, fake locations, evade bans, scrape user info, copy algorithmic data, or infringe on platform data rights.
5.5 Prohibited Commercial Abuse. Without permission, do not publish ads, pyramid schemes, solicitation, gambling, financial investment info, virtual currencies, fake reviews, recruitment for black/gray industries, or mass marketing.
5.6 Reporting and Assistance. If users discover violations, harassment, minor risks, AI anomalies, fraud, or vulnerabilities, they can submit materials via reporting channels. Reporting materials must be true; malicious reporting or forged evidence is prohibited.
Chapter 6 User Content, Intellectual Property, and Authorization
6.1 Platform Rights. Bifrost software, services, UI, graphics, texts, AV, databases, algorithms, models, code, trademarks, structured network data, and related IP belong to Yanwan Technology or lawful rights holders, unless otherwise stated.
6.2 User Content Ownership. You retain IP rights to original content you legally own. You must ensure you have necessary rights when publishing, and do not infringe on others' copyrights, trademarks, portrait rights, reputation rights, privacy rights, or trade secrets.
6.3 Platform Display Authorization. To provide, operate, store, cache, transmit, display, recommend, translate, format, review, backup, handle customer service, evidence collection, and promote Bifrost, you grant us a global, non-exclusive, free, sublicensable license to copy, display, distribute, adapt, translate, and reasonably use your content. This license terminates upon content deletion or account cancellation, except for legal retention, technical caching, or dispute resolution needs.
6.4 Separate Authorization for Commercial Publishing. For commercial publishing (e.g., physical books, paid courses, offline exhibitions), we will not rely solely on general posting behavior. Specific authorization must be obtained, detailing scope, territory, duration, authorship, exclusivity, modification rights, fees, and revenue distribution.
6.5 Infringement Handling. Rights holders claiming infringement can submit proof. We will process notices, remove, block, or disconnect links lawfully. Users bear responsibility for disputes, claims, or legal actions caused by their content.
6.6 Feedback Authorization. Feedback, ideas, and bug reports you submit may be used by us free of charge for product improvement and commercialization, without granting us over-scoped usage of personal info contained therein.
Chapter 7 AI, Algorithmic Recommendation, and Automated Decision-Making
7.1 Algorithm Use. Bifrost may use algorithms for recommendation, sorting, matching, content review, translation, risk control, ads, and AI generation. We establish safety, data, privacy, and manual intervention mechanisms.
7.2 User Control. Users can manage interest tags, matching preferences, recommendation toggles, sorting, and ad preferences. If personalized recommendations are turned off, content will be displayed based on time, popularity, location, or compliance rules.
7.3 AI Boundaries. AI accounts, companionship, or language practice will be reasonably identified. The platform will not aim to replace real socialization, control psychology, induce addiction, or induce unreasonable consumption.
7.4 Training Data. We will not use your private chats, precise locations, ID documents, payment info, reporting materials, or minor personal info for public model training without separate consent or lawful permission. De-identified data used for improvement will be secured.
7.5 Manual Review. For automated decisions significantly affecting user rights (e.g., bans, payment blocks, content takedowns), users can request explanations and manual review via customer service.
Chapter 8 Privacy and Data Processing
8.1 Privacy Policy Applicability. We process personal information according to the "Bifrost Privacy Policy." You should read and agree to it before using services.
8.2 Necessity Principle. We follow principles of legality, propriety, necessity, good faith, purpose limitation, transparency, and security. Refusing non-essential info/permissions does not affect core functions but limits dependent features.
8.3 Cross-border Interaction. Bifrost connects Chinese and global users. When you actively interact cross-border, your public profile or messages may be accessed globally. We fulfill legal obligations for cross-border data transfer security assessments, standard contracts, or certifications.
8.4 Logs and Security. We legally retain login, operation, content disposal, reporting, transaction, and security audit logs to meet cybersecurity, governance, and regulatory requirements.
Chapter 9 Paid Services, Memberships, Orders, and Refunds
9.1 Paid Items. Bifrost may offer annual/lifetime memberships, AI practice, precision matching, unlimited messaging, priority recommendations, event vouchers, merch, blind boxes, or value-added services. Rules, pricing, benefits, and refunds are subject to purchase pages.
9.2 Pricing and Taxes. Prices vary by region, exchange rates, taxes, platform fees, or local laws. Users bear applicable taxes, exchange fees, network costs, or payment service fees.
9.3 Auto-renewal. For auto-renewal memberships, the system will notify you before activation. You must cancel before the next billing cycle via the platform or app store. App store refunds follow Apple/Google rules.
9.4 Refund Principles. Unless legally required, explicitly promised, or due to platform fault, redeemed/used digital content, memberships, and virtual items are non-refundable. Unshipped physical goods, quality issues, or canceled events are handled per legal and platform rules.
9.5 Prohibited Transactions. Users may not privately trade accounts, memberships, virtual items, gifts, or event slots, nor exploit refund/payment loopholes for arbitrage, fraud, or money laundering.
Chapter 10 Offline Activities, Social Security, and Risk Warnings
10.1 Social Authenticity Limitations. Internet socialization carries risks of anonymity, false profiles, cultural misunderstandings, fraud, harassment, and offline safety. We mitigate risks via governance but cannot guarantee every user's identity, intent, or background is completely true.
10.2 Offline Meeting Safety. When meeting offline, choose public safe places, inform friends/family, secure belongings, and do not trust requests for money, investment, or dangerous meetings. Users bear responsibility for self-initiated offline interactions.
10.3 Activity Organization. If the platform hosts, it bears legal responsibility; if it only provides publishing/registration tools, the actual organizer is responsible for safety, refunds, and management.
10.4 Emergencies. The platform is not an emergency rescue agency. In cases of physical danger, medical emergencies, psychological crises, or crime threats, contact local police or professionals immediately.
Chapter 11 Service Changes, Interruption, and Limitation of Liability
11.1 Service Adjustments. We may modify, suspend, restrict, or terminate services due to iterations, compliance, maintenance, security, or force majeure. Significant impacts on paid users will be notified and handled legally.
11.2 Exemption Scope. We are not liable beyond legal requirements for interruptions or data loss caused by force majeure, government acts, hackers, viruses, third-party failures, user devices, cross-border network instability, or app store/payment agency issues.
11.3 Limitation of Liability. For free services, we are not liable for indirect, expected, goodwill, data, or emotional damages. For paid services, our liability is generally capped at the fees paid by the user in the past 12 months, except for intentional misconduct, gross negligence, or mandatory legal provisions.
11.4 Platform Legal Obligations. Nothing in this Agreement excludes or limits mandatory liability under consumer protection, privacy, minor protection, product quality, cybersecurity, or platform operator laws.
Chapter 12 Breach, Appeals, and Evidence
12.1 Disciplinary Measures. If a user violates laws or rules, we may warn, restrict traffic, delete content, block links, restrict features, pause matching, mute, freeze benefits, deny refunds, ban accounts, cancel accounts, or report to authorities, depending on severity.
12.2 Appeal Mechanism. Users objecting to content disposal, account restrictions, payment risk control, or AI safety actions can appeal via customer service. We will review and maintain, modify, or revoke the decision.
12.3 Evidentiary Effect. Platform system records, logs, orders, payment records, chat logs, reporting materials, review records, and legally retained electronic data serve as evidence of user behavior, service status, and platform actions.
12.4 Compensation Liability. Users violating laws, this Agreement, or third-party rights, causing us, affiliates, partners, or other users to suffer claims, penalties, losses, or reputation damage, must bear compensation liability, including reasonable legal fees, investigation costs, and platform disposal costs.
Chapter 13 Agreement Changes, Notifications, and Termination
13.1 Agreement Updates. We may update this Agreement based on laws, product changes, business models, or user protection needs. Major changes will be notified via pop-ups, announcements, or messages. Continued use implies acceptance.
13.2 Delivery of Notices. Notices sent via product announcements, site messages, push, SMS, email, or provided contact methods are deemed delivered upon successful sending or publication.
13.3 User Termination. Users can stop using services, cancel auto-renewals, or request account cancellation. Upon cancellation, personal data will be deleted or anonymized, except for statutory retention, disputes, or security audits.
13.4 Platform Termination. If you severely violate this Agreement, laws, or endanger the platform/others, we may terminate services to you. If services terminate due to business strategy or regulatory requirements, we will handle unfulfilled paid benefits and user data legally.
Chapter 14 Applicable Law and Dispute Resolution
14.1 Applicable Law. The formation, validity, performance, interpretation, termination, and dispute resolution of this Agreement apply the laws of mainland China, excluding conflict of laws rules. Mandatory local laws prevail where applicable and non-excludable.
14.2 Negotiation First. Disputes arising from this Agreement or Bifrost services should first be resolved through customer service channels or amicable negotiation.
14.3 Jurisdiction. If negotiation fails, both parties agree to submit the dispute to the competent People's Court in Fengtai District, Beijing, where this Agreement is signed; unless consumer protection, internet court jurisdiction, or other mandatory laws dictate otherwise.
14.4 Severability. If any clause is deemed invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, it does not affect the validity of other clauses. Parties shall substitute a lawful, valid clause that closest reflects the original intent.
14.5 Language Versions. This Agreement may have Chinese, English, or other language versions. In case of inconsistency, the Chinese version prevails, unless mandatory laws require local language priority.
